Registration has officially opened for the 13th edition of the Maldives Finance Forum, organized by the Maldives Pension Administration Office. The annual flagship event is scheduled to take place on 14 November 2026 at dusitD2 Feydhoo Maldives, under the theme "Green Finance: Unlocking Sustainable Investment and Financial Security in the Maldives."
The forum will bring together policymakers, regulators, financial institutions, investors, as well as local and international experts. Discussions will center on strategies to mobilize long-term sustainable capital essential for the economic and financial sector development of the Maldives.
With climate risks increasingly recognized by investors and financiers as financial risks, the criteria governing access to long-term capital for nations and institutions are undergoing significant shifts. Accordingly, the forum will explore key measures required to establish a credible green finance market in the Maldives, alongside financing instruments and market conditions aligned with national development policies. Sessions will also spotlight sustainable investment avenues across renewable energy, climate-resilient infrastructure, and the blue economy.
As the country's largest institutional investor and primary social protection agency, the Pension Office places strategic emphasis on the advancement of the financial sector. The financial security of pension fund members depends on resilient and sustainable economic policies, as well as long-term investment opportunities that generate adequate returns.
The forum offers participants an interactive platform to engage with national and international thought leaders, exchange insights, and identify emerging opportunities within a sustainable financial ecosystem.
Interested participants can now register through the official forum website at www.financeforum.mv.
