Maldives Expo 2026 will officially kick off this Sunday, 25 October, at Hulhumalé Central Park. The 9-day national event runs until 2 November and brings together local creators, small businesses, startups, and international guests to celebrate Maldivian innovation and culture across seven themed areas.
Visitors can explore a wide variety of displays, including local businesses, handmade arts and crafts, and the Visitor Economy District. The event also includes international pavilions, foreign business stalls, a food street with many dining options, and live music and entertainment on the main stage every day.
Alongside the business stalls, the expo features plenty of family activities and sports competitions. Visitors can enjoy virtual reality (VR) games, escape rooms, and matches in beach handball, basketball, chess, and carrom, as well as bicycle and jet ski races. Two major cultural events are also scheduled towards the end: the finals of the Boduberu Challenge on 1 November, followed by the Sagaafee Vaadha competition on 2 November.
The opening night takes place this Sunday from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm, featuring live music and a fireworks show. From Monday, 26 October onwards, the expo will open daily from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Organisers noted that the schedule may change, and visitors can find the latest updates at expo.mv.
