Muslims across the Maldives were reminded today to stay true to Islam and follow its teachings every day. Today's Friday sermon explained that Islam is a great gift from Allah that brings peace, success, and true happiness in this life and the next.
The sermon pointed out that real success comes from living by Islamic values. Muslims were encouraged to do their daily prayers, pay zakat, and treat others with kindness. People were also urged to practice good manners everywhere, including at home, at work, and in the community.
Imams shared stories of early Muslims who faced severe hardship and pain but never gave up their faith. Historical figures like Bilal and Khabbab showed patience and stayed strong even when life was very difficult. The sermon noted that when Muslims hold firmly to their religion, Allah grants them dignity and strength, while drifting away leads to weakness.
Finally, the sermon warned against neglecting religious duties or copying bad habits and outside cultures that go against Islam. Believers were advised to thank Allah for the blessing of faith and show their beliefs through honest words and good actions every day.
