The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has issued a White Alert for the region stretching from Lhaviyani Atoll to Addu City, warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms.
The alert is effective from 18:00 hrs on 14 October 2026 until 00:00 hrs on 15 October 2026.
During this period, the authority forecasts heavy rain and thunderstorms across the alerted area. The MET Office advises sea travelers and residents in these areas to remain cautious.
